New distribution partnership with WKECH Printer Trader brings Kavalan PVC-free materials to the Philippines

Kavalan’s new distribution partnership with WKECH Printer Trader reflects shifting attitudes towards sustainable material options in the Philippines

Leading PVC-free wide-format materials brand, Kavalan, announces a new distribution partnership with WKECH Printer Trader, that will see the large-format printing materials supplier distributing Kavalan materials in the Philippines.

WKECH Printer Trader was founded in June 2025 by Warren Palomer out of a desire to offer sustainable materials to the large-format print market. The company was actually started after Warren was introduced to the Kavalan PVC-free material portfolio by Vincent Lin, Vice President, TAYA Groups, Kavalan’s parent company, at an industry event in 2024. Following this meeting, Warren decided to put his passion for sustainability into practice and start his own company to supply sustainable large-format print materials to the region.

Kavalan’s PVC-free portfolio includes Sunlight, a lightweight coated banner material suitable for indoor and outdoor applications; Moonlight, a brilliant white banner material ideal for lightboxes and other backlit applications; Butterfly, a double-sided block-out textile material; Spiderweb, a mesh banner material; and Gecko, a coated wall covering material and Gecko Stroma, a floor mat material. Kavalan’s banner range is compatible with UV, Latex and UVgel printers and is tear-resistant, flame-retardant and weldable, with the same flexibility and tensile strength as traditional PVC-based materials. 

According to Warren, in spite of some hesitations and misconceptions about price, attitudes towards sustainability are shifting in the Philippines, and WKECH Printer Trader is already working with a number of companies in the region which are keen to be the first to adopt PVC-free substrates in the region.
